NAME: Roronoa Zoro
AGE: 19
CANON: One Piece Live Action (OPLA)
CANON POINT: The end of Season 1
CRAU: N/A
OTHER: This portrayal will be based primarily on Zoro's character in the live action, but I may incorporate certain details from the manga/anime should a situation call for it.
Zoro's sword, Wado Ichimonji, is of great personal importance to him, so he will be spending some time trying to search the resort for it!
SUITABILITY: Zoro meets the basic age requirement of the game. He first appears to be a lone wolf type of character, but the show quickly reveals that he finds value in the companionship and camaraderie that comes with friendship when he joins a pirate crew instead of continuing on solo. It will be fun to explore how he reacts to the variety of potential connections he could make in the Golden Peacock's setting, and to see what kind of personal growth he can achieve by being forced to navigate interactions that he might normally quickly exit.
HISTORY: Born in the East Blue, Roronoa Zoro's childhood was largely spent rigorously training at a dojo in Shimotsuki Village, where he developed his signature Three Sword Style. Years later, he became known as "Pirate Hunter Zoro", a notorious bounty hunter feared by the average pirate due to the way he stalked his prey until he could cut off their head and turn it in for monetary reward.
His life took a turn when he met Monkey D. Luffy and became the first member of the Straw Hat Pirates. He pledged his strength to Luffy's quest to become the King of the Pirates, while simultaneously pursuing his own dream of becoming the world's greatest swordsman. Along the way, they collected additional crew members Nami, Usopp, and Sanji. The crew set off on a series of adventures that involved each member's personal history, including liberating towns terrorized by pirates (of the circus and fishmen variety), saving a shipyard heiress from a pirate intent on stealing her fortune, and enjoying the delicious food on an ocean-going restaurant.
Another pivotal moment occurred for Zoro when he encountered Dracule Mihawk, the world's greatest swordsman and one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. In pursuit of his dream, Zoro entered into battle with Mihawk. He suffered a crushing defeat and sustained grave injuries, but earned Mihawk's respect for fighting with honor. This experience highlighted the considerable gap in ability between Zoro and Mihawk, showing Zoro that he had a long way to go before achieving his dream.
ABILITIES:
β¦ DIAMONDS β£ Zoro's identity is deeply rooted in his physicality: his strength, his speed, his swordsmanship. While he enjoys sex and intimacy like any hot-blooded young man, he likely doesn't partake as often as others do at the resort. An activated Diamonds suit would make him a slave to his physical desires, kicking his aggressive and animalistic traits into overdrive. He'd suddenly be touchy feely and increasingly more forward, hyper fixated on satisfying his desire for pleasure.
β SPADES β£ The Spades suit would amplify the darker side of Zoro's psyche. His fairly innocuous traits of being irritable and self-assured may escalate to anger and overconfidence, leading to unprovoked violent outbursts. He might fight someone then hatefuck them. Anyone he has feelings for (likely kept secret, as he's not the traditionally romantic type) could become the object of his obsessions, which might be alarming and dangerous if he were to be emboldened to act on his hidden wants and desires.
RANK REQUESTS: There are opportunities for entertainment at any level, so surprise me!

ABILITIES:
+ Master Swordsman β£ Zoro's swordsmanship is considered among the best in the world within his canon. He has masterful proficiency in One-Sword and Two-Sword Style, and is known for his signature Three-Sword Style, where he wields a sword in each hand and one in his mouth.VICES:
+ Enhanced Physical Prowess β£ Zoro possesses extraordinary physical strength, speed, agility, durability, and endurance. He can lift massive objects, move with incredible speed, react to attacks with precision, withstand significant injuries, and continue fighting for extended periods. He has an extremely high pain tolerance, allowing him to endure extreme physical punishment without showing signs of weakness. His physical abilities are constantly evolving as he pushes himself to his limits.
+ Armament Haki β£ Zoro is proficient in Armament Haki, which he uses to harden his swords and body, increasing their offensive and defensive capabilities.
+ Observation Haki β£ While not his specialty, Zoro has demonstrated a degree of Observation Haki, allowing him to sense the presence and intentions of others
β Poor Sense of Direction β£ Zoro is comically bad at directions. It's inconvenient at best and life-threatening at worst, considering his occupation. His companions quickly learn not to rely on him to get them anywhere or keep track of where they've been.
β― Irritability β£ Zoro is often grumpy by default. If he isn't grumpy already, he's short-tempered enough that it won't take much to get him there. This can lead to humorous situations among those that know him (or are good-natured enough to play off it well), but can often cause unnecessary friction with friends, acquaintances, and strangers alike. He can be seen as condescending or unfriendly, which doesn't help in situations that call for charisma and finesse over brute force.VIRTUES:
β― Fondness for Alcohol β£ We won't call it alcoholism just yet, but Zoro has a pretty heavy drinking habit. Not only does he drink to socialize, he also drinks for comfort, relaxation, or simply when he's bored. Perhaps he's self-medicating, or perhaps he just needs a less destructive hobby.
β― Stubbornness β£ Being strong-willed and self-assured can manifest as stubbornness, making Zoro resistant to change or new ideas that he does not immediately agree with. It takes an advanced level of trust for him to concede on important matters to someone with a different point of view. This also means that both bickering (because it's fun with the right person) and not bickering (so he won't stress said person out) are among his love languages.
β― Perseverance β£ Zoro's grit and resilience are born of his challenging youth, which saw him orphaned at a young age and suffering the loss of his rival and distant cousin, Kuina. Almost single-minded in his ability to focus, he constantly trains to hone his swordsmanship and get closer to his life's goal of becoming the world's greatest swordsman. He does not waver even in the face of overwhelming odds, continuing to fight even through injury or exhaustion.SUIT REQUESTS:
β― Loyalty β£ Zoro descends from the lineage of a legendary samurai, and was therefore raised on family values that reflect a samurai's code, loyalty and honor chief among them. Though it may take him a while to warm up to someone new, once attached, Zoro is fiercely loyal. This is demonstrated by the way Zoro continues to follow and support his captain, Luffy, on his zany, often poorly thought-out plans even as he grumbles and protests about them. Zoro also values loyalty in others, making several cutting remarks to the crew's navigator, Nami, when he thought her disloyal during the early days of their team-up.
β― Honor β£ Zoro adheres to a strict swordmasterβs code of honor and does not falsely brag or lie about his abilities. Zoro considers retreating from a fight or using underhanded techniques to be cowardly and disdains anyone who uses such tactics. Upon defeat during battle against the world's greatest swordsman, Dracule Mihawk, he faced the possibility of death head-on rather than attempting to flee or begging for his life.
β― Humility β£ Despite his distinguished abilities as a swordsman, Zoro easily acknowledges his limitations. He sees honest introspection as necessary for growth. This allows him to defer to others on matters they excel in; for example, he typically listens to Nami's directions and executes her plans without question.
β¦ DIAMONDS β£ Zoro's identity is deeply rooted in his physicality: his strength, his speed, his swordsmanship. While he enjoys sex and intimacy like any hot-blooded young man, he likely doesn't partake as often as others do at the resort.
